Thiago Alves Out Jorge Masvidal In against Benson Henderson

It looks like Thiago Alvez is out of his fight with Benson Henderson fight at UFC South Korea. Alves has been sidelined with a rib injury and is being replaced by Jorge Masvidal who was set to take on Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night 79 on the same fight card!

Jorge Masvidal looks to start a winning streak after beating Cezar Ferreira in the 1st round by KO after a return back to welterweight and is taking a huge step up in competition in the former lightweight champion and #6 ranked welterweight Benson Henderson.

Benson Henderson himself is looking to start a win streak of his own in the welterweight division after beating a surging Brandon Thatch at UFC fight night 60 with a masterful performance and submitting Thatch in the fourth with a rear naked choke.  Do fans believe that this is a step down for  Henderson or this will get him  into the top 5 of the division. Or is this the challenge that Madvidal needed to show people that he belongs in the top 5 himself?
